Some of us are so desperate for a holiday that we don’t really care when we go – we just want to GTFO, ideally as soon as possible. If that sounds like you, budget airline EasyJet has just launched an online tool designed to make it supremely easy to find cheap flights.
All travellers have to do is plug in their departure and arrival locations into the new ‘Low Fare Finder’, and EasyJet will show you a graph with the cheapest months and days to book. It’s pretty nifty, because not only does it help travellers save cash, it also helps EasyJet run fewer empty flights.
Any travel-savvy readers will be well aware that this kind of thing already exists – and has done for a while. EasyJet’s Low Fare Finder is essentially Skyscanner, but it’s limited to only EasyJet flights. What the new tool does slightly differently is that is shows you how many seats are left at each price. Skyscanner doesn’t do that, and only shows availability with colour-coding (green for high availability, red for low, etc).
The launch of the Low Fare Finder coincides with a pretty huge EasyJet sale. The airline is offering 20 percent off on flights to sunspots Greece, Spain and Turkey all summer long. The sale covers dates between March and October, and the deals end on Tuesday (February 15).
