There are treehouses with epic balconies or cottages high on hills with sweeping views of the sea – and then there is this.

Cabin X, a secluded hideaway on a 25-acre farm in the East Sussex countryside, has a bathroom with an incredibly pleasing vista. In fact, it might just be the nicest bathroom in the country.

Floor to ceiling windows in the WC reveal lush trees and verdant ferns. The perfect companions while you’re sitting on the loo or enjoying the cabin’s huge walk-in shower.

It’s like having an alfresco bathroom – taking forest bathing to a whole new level – but without having to share your wet room with any overfriendly insects. The ideal situation, if you ask us.

The rest of the rustic cabin is pretty dreamy too. You can also soak up views of the surrounding greenery from your bed, which is east-facing for enjoying the morning light from under your duvet. Or even venture out into it – there’s a firepit BBQ on your doorstep as well as a farm shop and cafe a short walk through the trees.
