Holy marmalade sandwiches, it’s on. Paddington 3 is officially heading our way, carrying enough good vibes and joy to lift humanity’s spirits when we need it most, with a filming date set for this summer.

The movie has a name – Paddington in Peru – and an official start date for filming: July 24, according to Deadline

The film will shoot in London and Peru.

With Paddington and Paddington 2 writer-director Paul King busy with ‘Wonka’, a new filmmaker is passing the floppy bucket hat to a new director.

King remains involved as an executive producer, and is helping to craft the story, but music video and commercials director Dougal Wilson will be directing ‘Paddington in Peru’.

‘As a huge fan of the first two films, I am very excited (if not a little intimidated) to be continuing the story of Paddington,’ Wilson told The Hollywood Reporter. ‘It’s a massive responsibility, but all my efforts will be focused on making a third film that honours the love so many people have for this very special bear.’

The screenplay is written by Mark Burton, Jon Foster and James Lamont.

5 reasons why ‘Paddington’s new director is the perfect pick for ‘Paddington in Peru’.
