Bored of banana bread? We hear ya. While a lot of the world is on lockdown, we’ve been foraging around inside our cupboards for half-empty bags of flour and pots of baking powder, attempting to magic-up lockdown treats.

But if so far your baking hasn’t hit the spot, it might be time to call in a professional. Virtually, of course.

Airbnb have just taken a bunch of its ‘experiences’ online. Usually these are activities travellers do to meet locals and get stuck into the culture of the place they’re visiting. But in these difficult, travel-free times the experiences have gone online, which means, as well as other things, you can now bake Swedish buns with a pro baker from your very own kitchen.

Using video chat app Zoom, you’ll cook along with sweet-treat expert Lhea. You’ll make cinnamon and cardamon buns, with Lhea’s helpful guidance from her kitchen in Stockholm every step of the way.

She’ll also chat about the concept of Swedish Fika. Think it’s just a coffee and cake break? ‘It's so much more than that,’ says Lhea. ‘Fika is a state of mind, an important part of Swedish culture that values making time each day to savour a cup of coffee and time with loved ones.’

If there’s ever been a good time to go full Fika, it’s now.

‘Make Swedish Pastries with a Pro Baker’ is from £8 per person. Find out more and book here
