Fancy a Christmas market-studded trip around spectacular Belgian destinations like Bruges, Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent this winter? Well, there are now even fewer reasons not to do so. Belgium’s national rail provider SNCB has launched a campaign offering massive discounts on train tickets between a bunch of the country’s most unmissable destinations.

SNCB’s discount is called the Winter Promo Ticket and it sees the cost of all day trip return tickets slashed in half. That’s right: half price. It’s designed to promote day trips around Belgium, making it ideal for both travellers looking to properly explore the country and Belgians wanting to visit family and friends throughout the festive season.

The promo ticket is apparently valid every day of the week, for both first and second class tickets. The offer applies to tickets between any two Belgian stations, lasts until January 8 and tickets can be bought from SNCB’s official website here, as well as at ticket machines.

So if you needed an invitation to explore Belgium this winter, consider this it! Now prep for your trip by brushing up on our list of the best Christmas markets in Europe.

Did you see that Switzerland’s most scenic railway just got a serious glow-up?
