Any reasonable human might assume that soup sales take a dip in the summer. After all, who really wants to tuck into a bowl of piping-hot broccoli cheddar when the forecast approaches triple digits? Panera fans, apparently.

The fast-casual chain recently polled its US diners (700 of them to be exact) and asked whether or not they eat soup come summertime. A whopping 70 percent responded that the sweltering heat does not deter them from slurping a bowl of soup in the sun – or, perhaps more accurately, an air-conditioned dining room.

To celebrate the insanity of this revelation, Panera is giving its Soup Warriors what they didn't know they needed: a five-piece swimwear collection devoted to the hot stuff. The merch drop includes two one-piece suits, two swim trunks and – drumroll, please – a Bread Bowl pool float.

Fans can choose from a broccoli cheddar print or an olive-green suit that pays homage to Panera's 30-year-old sourdough starter. All of the swimsuits go for $25, and the Bread Bowl pool float will set you back $20 – a small price to pay to be the coolest, carbiest kid at the pool.

Like any legit merch drop, Panera's Swim Soup Collection is available for a limited time, so act fast if you're planning to rock a broccoli cheddar suit this summer.
