Since the '80s, artist and Nipponophile Bertille de Baudinière has been putting out striking monochrome paintings that look to the East for inspiration. His latest series of canvases refracts the theme of ecological disaster – read: Fukushima – and the excesses of the digital age – read: most of urban Japan – through an abstract lens. The United States Foundation at the Cité Internationale Universitaire exhibits them from May 23 to June 7.
Open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat-Sun Noon-5pm.
