Time Out says

Paris's danceophiles are buzzing with excitement at the news that star choreographer François Verret, an emblem of France’s contemporary dance scene since the 1980s, is back with a new opus, "Raptus". This latest oeuvre, which explores the emotional states of indifference, loss of empathy and the desire to flee reality, promises to be positively electrifying. It employs just one dancer and a single musician to communicate Verret's hard-hitting vision of today’s society. The great man's choreographies are often laced in political and social comment: in Raptus, the artist explores the correlation he sees between neo-liberal economies and society’s loss of compassion, coupled with a desire for escapism through drugs and alcohol.
