Time Out Live – unique, exclusive and unmissable events curated by Time Out – launches in Paris at L’International. Heading the lineup are Dutch act Bombay Show Pig, made up of guitarist Mathias Janmaat and drummer Linda Van Leeuwen, whose music demonstrates a refreshing eclecticism (check out their sound here). A mix of aggressive alt rock and more electronic sounds (putting you in mind of another boy-girl duo, the Kills), their tracks are compulsive listening: check out the album ‘Vulture/Provider’.
In support, another duo, this time South African. Hunter As A Horse play brilliant electro-pop, addictive and contemplative, strongly reminiscent of Bat for Lashes. Based in London, the group has released some deliciously different tracks, between sweet dreaminess and nonchalant groove. Listening to ‘Stone Fox’, ‘We Will meet Again’ or ‘The Train’, you’ll understand that they’re a hot ticket for the future. Listen here.
