Since 1992, Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard has been part of Brad, a Seattle group that distances itself from grunge in favour of folk, alternative rock and Americana. Keeping going through good years and bad, Brad have released some very good albums, notably ‘Shame’ (1993) and ‘Welcome to Discovery Park’ (2002), which stand out from the crowd thanks to the voice of Shawn Smith, also a member of Satchel. Comparable to Rick Danko of Band, Smith gives new life to simple ballads with a new tonality and particularly American emotion. Their rare visit to Paris is an excellent opportunity to catch the group live, in intimate surroundings.
