Club Dirty : Joakim + Pilooski + Zaltan

Joakim Bouaziz needs no introduction – as the head of the excellent label Tigersushi, he’s a major player on the French electronica scene, responsible for bringing us the likes of Principles of Geometry, Poni Hoax, Maestro and Krikor. An avid record collector, Joakim has an encyclopaedic knowledge of music, which comes through in his eclectic and experimental DJ sets. His musical taste covers everything from indie rock to obscure disco, African music, acid techno, Chicago house and even classical music.

Joining him for the night is Pilooski, a producer with an insatiable appetite for rare gems and disco re-edits (check his excellent cover of the Pointer Sisters’ ‘Send Him Back’). He also produced the debut albums of both Tristesse Contemporaine and D-I-R-T-Y, as well being the other half of the duo Discodéine.

To mark the third Club Dirty night at Nüba this Friday, Dirty Sound System and Zaltan will also be playing sets.
