Hot 8 Brass Band

The Hot 8 Brass Band’s debut album 'Rock With The Hot 8' was released in 2007 in the wake of the murder of drummer Dinerral 'Dick' Shavers – the fourth of their number to die since the band’s formation in 1995. Their second album 'The Life And Times Of… The Hot 8 Brass Band' came off the back of better days following shows with Mos Def and Lauryn Hill. Since then the New Orleans jazz octet have gone from strength to strength, performing their unique blend of brass band jazz, funk and hip hop around the world to rapturous acclaim.
