Kwoon, Our Ceasing Voice, Man Is Not A Bird

Music, Rock and indie

For the best minimalist symphonies of post-rock, there are famous bands like Sigur Rós or Godspeed You ! Black Emperor – and in France there’s Kwoon, whose second album 'When The Flowers Were Ringing' signalled a major turning point in the life of the group. Acclaimed by critics and the public alike, Kwoon found themselves unexpectedly famous thanks to a YouTube clip for their track ‘I Lived on the Moon’, which garnered nearly two million views. They used the opportunity to take a new direction for their latest album, ‘The Guillotine Show’, with a welcome turn towards indie and dream pop that evokes Radiohead, Pink Floyd and Arcade Fire.
