Mesparrow is an electropop singer with a background in textiles, video, performance and applied arts, and one foot in a London-based artists' collective. Trendiness credentials don't come much stronger than that. As a musician, she channels CocoRosie and Björk with her trippy keyboard loops and experiments with vocal distortion; but there's also something of a Billie Holiday in her voice, at once fragile and commanding.
Mesparrow is supported by HollySiz, the stage name of none other than actress Cécile Cassel (half-sister of Vincent). She'll be presenting her disco-poppy debut album 'My Name Is' (no relation to Eminem).
