Time Out says

With a name like a character out of a Western, Narrow Terence in fact come from a small town in Bouches-du-Rhône, a distinctly un-rock’n’roll area of France – but they love paradoxes. Brothers Antoine and Nicolas Puaux, who started the band in 2002, have succeeded where others failed in producing a very Anglo-Saxon form of rock in France, recalling Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Mark Lanegan and Captain Beefheart. The music is mostly acoustic, full of bluesy guitar arpeggios, legato and pizzicato violins, though sometimes broken up with goth metal touches.
