The Growlers are one of the growing number of California bands that play modern psychedelic music informed by their locale, but without a whiff of L.A. cheese, favouring instead the West Coast’s hippie-dippy looseness. At its best, the group invokes a smoking late-’60s beach party. Just like summer never ended!
