Ethereal and crushingly dense at the same time, Tim Hecker's is some of the heaviest ambient music around. The Montreal-based musician has been crafting his vast catacombs of sound for over 15 years now, to widespread acclaim – 2011's magisterial 'Ravedeath, 1972' picked up the Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year.
