L’Orangerie de Bagatelle is a favourite destination for music fans and lovers of French gardens. Designed in 1835 to add light and colour to the suburbs, the beautiful Orangerie of the Parc Bagatelle is a special place to listen to classical music. In winter, its glass allows for both heat and light, while the walls protect from frost and noise. In summer, it's lovely when the grapefruit and tangerine trees are in bloom.
Two classic music festival are are based in the Orangerie. Since 1983, a Chopin series plays each summer on different themes, and there’s also a chamber music festival, ‘L’Octuor de France’. Come early before your concert to explore the park’s different areas, planted with narcissi, tulips and fruit trees.
