La Pelouse

La Pelouse restaurant in Paris' 19th arrondissement immediately outside the Parc des Buttes Chaumonts is a winning bobo spot, somewhere on the scale between caff and restaurant, with a young ambience. The minimalist decor is part of it, everything unfussy and comfortable. The menu is also a bit betwixt -- it has some of your favourite French dishes, like an exceptional steak tartare, or a butcher's trio of lamb, duck and beef, and innovative even suprising dishes like mahi-mahi with Asian spices. Set on a very lively corner, the pavement-side terrace is sunny and full of life, and there is live music some evenings.
