Following a brief hiatus after its holiday Electrical Spectacle light show, Franklin Square is set to re-open this Thursday, March 1—one of our first sure-bet signs that spring is just around the corner.

Along with the opening comes the host of on-site activities we all know and love. The picturesque fountain at its center will spew with water, the charming Parx Liberty Carousel will start spinning again and you can pick up a club to knock some balls around at the mini-golf course decorated with a handful of tiny versions of Philadelphia attractions.

SquareBurger, the Cooperage-run burger joint on the grounds—opens March 24 with a menu of five burgers and a variety of other sandwiches, salads and sides. Sweets lovers will no doubt line up for the famous Cake Shake, blended with TastyKake Butterscotch Krimpets. But the root beer float and homemade chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches aren’t so bad, either.

Franklin Square is open all weekend starting March 1 from 10am to 5pm.
