R. Pela Contemporary Art says
R. Pela Contemporary Art continues its tradition of showcasing local artists with a new exhibit of 3-D printer artwork from internationally known local artist Kevin Caron.

Best known for his sculptural work in wood and metal, Caron has recently added 3D printing to his techniques. Endless Line: 3-D Printed Work by Kevin Caron, at Scottsdale’s Walter Art Gallery, will be his first-ever 3D printing exhibition of full-scale sculptures and jewelry. A 3-D printer will create a new work during the exhibition, Caron promises.

Each of Caron’s larger printer pieces can take four to five days to print. Sunscraper is a five-pointed, sunflower yellow creation that recalls a peaked mountain in a faraway galaxy. Black Mesa is a darkly twisted figure of PLA resin that evokes neoclassical sculptures.

Endless Line will open on Friday, February 5 at 6:00 p.m. at Walter Art Gallery, 6425 East Thomas Road in Scottsdale, and remains on exhibit through the end of the month, with a closing reception on Friday, February 26.
