City of Ladies
Written by Amanda Prahl

Christine de Pizan is a highly educated writer in the royal court of 15th century France. Widowed and left to support her family alone, Christine attempts to make a living at the one skill she can use: writing. When she gains the patronage of a mysterious, confident Comtesse, Marguerite, Christine believes her problems may be solved, but when her friendship with Marguerite and her attempts to gain more favor and more patrons have dangerous consequences, Christine starts a literary quarrel in an attempt to rediscover herself and leave her mark on history.
