This comprehensive basic mediation training is designed for people who are committed to solving conflict throughout their workplaces, organizations, and community. The training provides the basic skills needed to become a facilitative mediator, emphasizing the interest-based approach common in community dispute resolution. It is designed with energizing activities to learn and practice conflict resolution tools, including conflict theory, mediation stages, empathic listening, facilitating negotiations, cross-cultural conflict management and more!

Training participants learn to be an impartial third party, manage highly charged negotiations, and empower the clients to find solutions that meet everyone’s needs. This training meets the Basic Mediation Curriculum Standard as established by the Administrative Rules for Community Dispute Resolution programs.

Offers on-going training opportunities through the year, including monthly mediation practice sessions.

34-hour training

2 Wednesdays: January 13th and 20th, 6-9pm
2 Fridays, January 15th and 22th, 9am – 5pm
2 Saturdays, January 16th and 23th, 9am – 5pm
