Canceled! — Oregon Action Plan: Immigration Rights! says
Thanks to everyone for their interest in this event. We have decided, with feedback from our activist partners, to reschedule and potentially rethink this event. There are a variety of opportunities to engage in immigration justice work so please continue to follow MRG Foundation, KBOO Community Radio, and Street Roots' facebook pages for more information!

KBOO Community Radio, MRG Foundation and Street Roots are hosting Oregon Action Plan, a series of events to inform and empower our community.

The first event will focus on immigration in Oregon. We will work to answer the tough questions -how is what is happening on the national level affecting people in Oregon? What are organizations doing to support and protect their communities? What can allies do to be effective and supportive? You will leave with a deeper understanding of the issues we are facing and be prepared to take action.

Concordia University Portland is generously hosting the discussion in their library as a part of their partnership with MRG Foundation around The Soul of Philanthropy Reframed and Exhibited*. Doors will open at 2 pm with the program beginning at 2:30 pm on Sunday March 19. Tickets are $7.50 per person/ $20 for a family of four – nobody will be turned away because of their ability to pay. Please contact Sarah Cloud at Street Roots ( or 503-228-5657) for ticket information. The proceeds from the ticket sales will allow the host organizations to provide more opportunities like these to the public.

*Soul of Philanthropy is a multimedia exhibit that celebrates the giving traditions of African Americans and challenges us all to see philanthropy differently.
