Music Millennium says
Portland, OR based "Castletown" derives their name from a small town in County Cork, Ireland. Their music blends the energy of traditional Irish reels with modern folk, blues, jazz and country influences with Robert Richter on guitar and vocals, Olivia Duffy on fiddle, mandolin and vocals and Casey McBride on drums and percussion. Their latest album, “In Reel Time”, has just been released.

The group has been lighting up stages around the Pacific Northwest with performances at the Yachats Celtic Music Festival, LaGrande Celtic Festival and Highland Games, Northwest Folklife in Seattle, Portland and Eugene Saturday Markets, and Galway Bay Irish Pub in Ocean Shores, WA. They have also toured California performing shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Eureka.

Native Portlander Richter began teaching himself guitar at the age of 12 when he purchased a Sears "Silvertone" guitar from a neighbor for $5 and the promise to mow his lawn for a month. Over the years Richter has become known as a versatile singer/songwriter and guitarist writing the original Celtic influenced songs appearing on Castletown’s CD.

Olivia Duffy is also a native Portlander and a talented fiddler, mandolin player and singer. She has recorded and performed around the Pacific Northwest and performs with a number of music projects in various genres and styles.

Casey McBride also from Portland is well known as a versatile drummer and percussionist performing in multiple projects.
