Community Housing Forum says
NAYA is hosting a community housing forum Friday, February 26th. Mayoral candidates will address questions and debate the important issues and concerns about Portland's housing crisis. Doors will open at 6pm.

The Native American community struggles with high disparities when it comes to accessing affordable housing. Community members are forced to double up, couch surf, live in sub-standard housing situations, and are displaced to East County or even farther out of the city limits where they encounter a whole new series of barriers that stand in the way of financial stability. Barriers like transportation challenges, childcare limitations, access to social supports, separation from community and culture, just to name a few.
Join us for a rich conversation about Portland’s housing crisis and learn 2016 Mayoral candidates agenda for addressing housing disparities.

Interim Executive Director, Tawna Sanchez will moderate the forum. Stay connected to NAYA's social media to participate in an online conversation about what housing priorities are important to you.
