Core Flow incorporates movement, breath work and guided meditation to allow space for us to engage with our physical-spiritual core. 2nd & 4th Thursdays: Bellydance Flow This dynamic and upbeat class incorporates fusion bellydance techniques into an hour of stretching, popping, isolating, shimmying flow! We will drill basic movements from head to toe and incorporate them into dynamic combinations. We will also spend time focusing on lyricism, musicality, and storytelling through our movement. This class is great for ALL LEVELS, genders, and ages. As we learn the techniques, we will begin to layer, travel, explore, play, and above all to find our own flow through the exquisite art of bellydance. 5th Thursdays: Those occasional months where there is a 5th Thursday will be Student's Choice! Be it Core Flow or Bellydance or a combination of the two - Let Erika know what you want to explore with your hour of movement! All Classes are Taught by Erika Ryn & Red Sky Arts Erika Ryn has been studying world fusion dance since 2004, developing a unique style focused on theatricality and creative movement. She draws heavily from tribal fusion bellydance, modern and contemporary dance, yoga, as well as a multitude of other dance forms and circus arts. Erika's passion for teaching comes from the belief that dance is an empowering form of self expression and mind-body healing that can by enjoyed by people of all ages, shapes, and backgrounds. As we connect our bodies and breath we deepen our body-mind awareness, sparking neurons in the brain and awakening our many different muscle groups. Through dance we can learn to express emotions and stories with our entire being, we develop new ways to communicate with ourselves and each other, and above all - we remember to have FUN. http://www.erikaryn.com/
