The book, due out in spring 2016, was a six year labor of love that was finally completed in 2015, the 150th anniversary of the first publication of Alice. (In fact, Delamare and Ice received their advance copy of the book during the same week in November that Lewis Carroll originally received his.)

Books may be previewed at The Fernie Brae between December 15th and January 17th. The books are not yet available to the public as they must first be delivered to the Kickstarter backers who made the publication possible.

UK born David Delamare is an artist, author, musician, and composer. He has illustrated eleven books, including three original stories. "Alice" is his ninth children's book. (His most recent was a collaboration with singer-songwriter Carly Simon.) His paintings have been purchased by museums and have appeared on numerous book and album covers, on television, and in feature films. Delamare's first music EP may be found on iTunes.

Portland native Wendy Ice has long been Delamare's agent and print publisher. The couple's first book collaboration was Animerotics: A Forbidden Cabaret in 26 Acts. (He created the illustrations, she modeled for many of the images, and they co-authored the text.)

Their next book collaboration was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (2015). Delamare produced the art. Ice created and ran the crowdfunding campaign, co-edited the historically accurate text, and designed and published the book. After nineteen and a half years together, the two married during the Kickstarter campaign.
