Details: Keen Footwear Presents Drawn Film & Book Premier at Aladdin Theater

Brought to you by KEEN, this is a night to not miss as artist and climber Jeremy Collins Art is bringing his one of a kind film, live art and newest book to Portland for a special debut. The night will include the creation of a one of a kind original art piece live on stage, a book signing and Portland's debut of the award winning film. Additionally, meet some of the DRAWN team including producer and director of photography James Q Martin.

The Film: DRAWN

42 Minutes

Film Synopsis: What does it mean to “see”? Shapes and shadows? Lines and color? When his friend dies in an avalanche, artist, rock-climber and dad Jeremy Collins goes to the ends of the earth to find closure and “see” his way up four new climbs. Drawn follows the journey from death to life while Collins goes North, South, East and West enduring challenge after challenge told in his trademark hybrid style of hand crafted animation meets on the fly live action.

The Book: DRAWN - The Art Of Ascent

176 Pages - Book Synopsis: Companion book to the film “Drawn: The Art of Ascent,” Captures the emotion of adventure through the soulful vibe of visual art. Author’s art is among the most influential in the world of climbing. Book includes 2 postcards created by author.

It is one thing to show a film at a film festival. It is another to have an eight foot by six foot canvas mimicking a field journal while art is created live in an immersive "dance". Drawn was built from adventures in the four directions. The climbs were progressive, the film is progressive, and so is the live show.
