ABOUT THE CLEAN UP

Check-in.
Volunteer check-in will start at 10:00 AM in the courtyard between Umpqua Bank and Barista at NE 18th Avenue & Alberta Street. We will have coffee and nourishment available! The clean up will start at 10:30AM.

What to bring.
If possible, please bring your own gloves, water bottle and any tools that will aid in clean up! Anything you can bring with you would be greatly appreciated. Some helpful tools include step ladders, flat head screwdrivers, pliers, razor blade scrapers – anything you think will help. Have a green thumb? Bring your garden tools to weed and clean up our tree wells and other green spaces.

What you will be doing and where.
You may be picking up trash (except prohibited materials*), removing stickers and graffiti, removing posters from telephone poles, weeding at bus stops, etc. You will be assigned a 5-6 block section of Alberta Street between MLK and NE 33rd Avenue when you check-in in the morning. Feel free to let our registration volunteers know if you have a location preference and they will do their best to accommodate. Larger groups may be asked to split up to make sure the whole street gets the attention it needs. After you check in and grab some nourishment, you will head to your assigned location to meet up with your Team Leader.

We look forward to seeing you at the Clean Up!
