Family Forward Oregon says
We are co-hosting an (Un)Happy Hour on Equal Pay Day because we're, well, unhappy about unequal pay for women.

In 2016, like every year, it takes women many months of extra work to catch up to what men earned the year before.

And while we gather on April 12th, it is important to dive deeper into the data and see how different women are affected by the wage gap:

* African-American women earn just $0.64.
* Latinas earn a mere $0.55.
* Mothers, when compared to fathers, earn $0.60

WHICH. IS. APPALLING.

No need to RSVP, just swing by. We'll be glad to see you!

Oh! And you'll get a drink discount if you identify as a woman (cis or trans) because, well, your reduced earnings mean reduced buying power, right?

Looking forward to seeing you on the 12th!

Oh, and did we say BINGO? Yes, there'll be Equal Pay Bingo... (like last year!)

We are honored to be co-hosting this event with:

* APANO
* Causa
* NARAL Pro-Vhoice Oregon
* Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon
*Urban League of Portland
