Film Coab! Copwatching Needs Your Support says
Sham police oversight body is ejecting those who record their public meeting. Copwatchers are among the community's greatest tool for holding cops accountable, yet city contractors want citizen journalists roped off, far from the whispering voices of political appointees to this board.
COAB member, attorney Tom Steenson, knows it is within our first amendment rights to record public meetings. With ranks of cell phones held high, we can drive home the point, that, instead of policing those who Film The Police, the community wants this advisory board focussed on the perpetrators.
Instead of allowing contractors to BULLY police accountability advocates, we'll demand board members press a community-based agenda. Instead of following the City Attorney's lead, COAB should fulflill its liaison role. It should be justice seekers' conduit to the Police Chief, with the Department of Justice looking on. - RDH

Last month the board shut itself down: a copwatcher was filming. This month, after a COAB member accused a man with Jewish heritage of being a skinhead, the body ejected the victim, because he held a cell phone. They never addressed his concerns.
