He has studied under some of the top improvisational teachers in the world, including Keith Johnstone (author of Impro and creator of Theatresports), Brad Sherwood (Whose Line is it Anyway?), Gary Austin (founding member of The Groundlings), Stephen Nachmanovitch (author of Free Play), and Randy Dixon (Artistic Director of Unexpected Productions).
