Portland Stands With Refugees Party says
On Sunday, June 18th, in honor of World Refugee Day, join us as we show our support for refugees and raise funds for four local agencies that provide a wide range of care and services for refugees in Oregon. Refugee Care Collective, Lutheran Community Services Northwest, Sponsors Organized to Assist Refugees, and Catholic Charities help refugees in myriad ways, including ESL services, youth and family mentorship, securing housing, job services, registering children at school, community orientation, providing transportation, and supplying basic household necessities.

In conjunction with this event, Oregon Public House (the world's first nonprofit pub) has chosen these organizations as their Charity of the Day. A percentage of their sales for the day will be donated, as will the use of their venue (and the site of our event), The Village Ballroom.

We'll be enjoying delicious local craft beverages and raffling off items generously donated by Portland businesses, as well as learning more about these refugee care and resettlement organizations. Entry is free, all ages welcome.
