The 56th Army Band, which is affectionately referred to as "America's Corps Band", is assigned to I Corps, stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The band provides musical support for the Corps, as well as the surrounding communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Performing over 600 missions annually we truly are the "Heartbeat of America's Corps."

Our Mission
To provide music supporting unified land operation and instill in our forcese the will to fight and win, foster the support of our citizens, and promote America's interests at home and abroad. Army Music serves as a combat multiplier and plays an integral part in the sustainment of forces engaged in unified land operations.

Through world-class musical ceremonies and performances, the I Corps Army Band helps create bonds between the United States Army and the Pacific Northwest community. Using music to bridge language, cultural, societal, and socio-economic differences, the Band's performances strengthen local community relationships and inspire positive and long-lasting impressions of the United States Army.
