The Sweater Funk crew has had a long facination and appreciation for Portland, Oregon. Not just for the funk that's flowed from the city and into our record bags but cuz the people are just so damn chill and funky. Every visit we've made there as individual DJs has had us coming back raving about good times, good food and most of all good folk that make every visit memorable! This will be our first visit as a crew to bring the "Sweater Funk vibe" to PDX. If you've never been to a Sweater Funk party we don't do "sets". We share our time usually dropping 2 tunes each and passing the headphones to the next DJ in line. This approach keeps the dancefloor poppin', heads guessin' and our DJs constantly diggin' all night for the perfect beat to follow their crewmate and keep the dancefloor moving and interesting! It's a party y'all, come through and have a dance with us!

San Francisco’s Sweater Funk DJ crew have been the city’s most dedicated purveyors of the funk subgenre known as BOOGIE since the summer of 2008. Their vision to bring boogie, strictly on vinyl originals, to the masses has earned them a diehard following who pack the Knockout every Sunday. They’ve hosted artists such as Leroy Burgess, Dam-Funk, Steve Arrington, Daz-I-Kue, DJ Spinna, Mayer Hawthorne, Peanut Butter Wolf, Kon and Amir, Onra, Benedek, Cool Chris, Howard Johnson & Myron & E, Psychic Mirrors, The Pendletons and are always ready to big up our event M.C. and local funk musician K-Maxx!!!!
