Shlump, also know as Michael Petzel, has been making music ever since he was a child. Over the years, Michael has played in many different bands of wide variations of styles and genres. Along with music production, Michael also has a background in classical guitar and an innate understanding of sound theory. Throughout his teenage years, Shlump fiddled around with production and has recorded and collaborated with lyricists and friends but seriously dove into the art around 2009.

Chrome Wolves came out the gate howling with his remix of Active Child’s amazing song “Hanging On” which twice was HypeMachine.com’s #1 over all song. Since then he has releases on Street Ritual and MalLabel as well as several other tasteful remixes. He is also a label mate and key contributor of the West Coast-based We Got This Crew where you can find him releasing crew mixes, mash-ups, and full releases. Chrome Wolves draws influence from a vast array of music and genres, as is evident in his sets. He incorporates all types of original production, familiar beats, current tastemakers, classics, samples and vocals all together to remix live and keep the crowd on their toes.
