This week at Wicked Wednesday we have special guest DJ/Producer Ayatollah! Not only will he be joining us to play some of his exclusive new instrumentals, but also to perform some of his brand new songs as well. Oh, you didn't know Ayatollah can rap too? The man is multi-talented!
This event will be a special treat in an intimate setting like Wicked Wednesday. Plus DJ Wicked and DJ Ozroc will also be spinning underground and oldschool HipHop classics all night long.
AYATOLLAH (from Queens, New York) is a critically acclaimed DJ and certified gold producer. He has collaborated and made music for many of HipHop's most elite emcees. One of his most well known tracks is "Ms Fat Booty" which he produced for Mos Def. Ayatollah has also done production for R.A. The Rugged Man, Guru, M.O.P., Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah and many, many more. Ayatollah's production encompasses a soulful, authentic east coast hip-hop sound which has brought him steady success and acclaim since the late 1990's.
*As usual, we'll be opening up the mic at midnight for the weekly midnight emcee cypher! Wicked Wednesday...the longest running, most cherished weekly HipHop event in Portland...where good music and true skill are still accepted.
