It’s one of the less known museums in Porto but it’s completely whorthy of a visit. Teixeira Lopes House-Museum, in Gaia, was brought back to life in 2012, after several months of renovation works. It now has a cafeteria, a bookshop, a museum and a garden full of sculptures and, most importantly, a great modern art collection, which has works of art from artists such as Amadeo Souza-Cardoso, Almada Negreiros, Sarah Afonso and, of course, from Teixeira Lopes himself. The House also has a ceramic and Imperial furniture collection and African art pieces.
