A Badalhoca

This is one of the most emblematic tascas in the city. Leading the troops since 1965 is Maria de Lurdes Guedes, a passionate Boavista supporter - just look at the walls of the venue. She started at the tasca at 17, gradually learned to cook and, almost without realising it, created the famous prosciutto sandwiches. The restaurant is always full at lunch time, and the clients don’t just order pork sandwiches: there are also some with omelette or liver, for example.
