Porto was eager for good Indian food. The opening of Portugandhi, in the Marquês area, with its Portuguese and Indian cuisine, was thus very much welcome. Portuguese fare is handled by chef Renato Sá, who led Alameda 33 at Hotel Vincci Porto. The Indian know-how comes from Atul Parbudas. From papadoms with dips to cheese nans, including choices for sensitive stomachs, there is a little bit of everything, and there's chicken tikka masala too. Worried about the spiciness? Fear not. If you ask, they'll let you do the seasoning yourself.
