After Saturday’s concert sold out, UB40 has added a Sunday date for their upcoming concert at Sunbet Arena in June.

Reggae royalty UB40, featuring Ali Campbell, is officially extending its South African run, with organisers confirming an additional Pretoria performance following overwhelming demand for the original show.
The Birmingham-born band will now perform at SunBet Arena, Time Square on Sunday, 7 June 2026 at 7 pm, after tickets for the Saturday, 6 June 2026 concert sold out. Both shows form part of a Big Concerts Experience, in association with KFM 94.5 and Hot 102.7.
Fronted by Campbell’s unmistakable vocals, UB40 remains one of the most successful reggae acts of all time, known for blending reggae, dub and pop into a sound that helped bring the genre into the mainstream. Fans can expect a hit-packed live set featuring classics like Red Red Wine, Kingston Town and Can’t Help Falling in Love, the kind of songs designed for mass sing-alongs.
Originally formed in 1978 by a group of friends from diverse ethnic backgrounds, the band became known early on for its socially conscious lyrics and laid-back reggae rhythms. With Campbell leading the way, UB40 went on to sell more than 100 million records worldwide, taking reggae from Birmingham to international stages.
Reflecting on the band’s journey, Campbell said: “When I first founded UB40 back in 1978, I put everything I had into it – including the compensation money I’d received from a criminal injury claim. None of us could have imagined we’d go on to sell over 100 million records and take reggae from Birmingham to the world. It’s been an incredible journey.”
For Pretoria fans who missed out the first time around, the newly added Sunday show offers a second chance to catch one of reggae’s most enduring voices live. Tickets are R800 via Ticketmaster.
