What is it? A lot of restaurants like to throw around the popular “farm-to-table” phrase to indicate their produce came straight from the garden and onto your plate. Nowhere is it more accurate than Haven, which is located within the new Fox Point Farms community that has a sustainable farm, brewery and coffee roastery on-site.
Why we love it: Diners can expect to see whatever produce is currently in season on the menu at Haven. Carrots are turned into hummus, fava beans are added to farro, and snap peas might just be the star of your dinner plate. Menus change often, but previous standout dishes have included jerk pork belly mole, black cod and Wagyu coulotte. Oenophiles will be delighted by the wine list here, which focuses on organic and biodynamic vino from both local and global wineries—all hand-selected by their in-house sommelier.
Time Out tip: Opt for the chef’s tasting menu here to try five farm-forward courses with an optional wine pairing add-on. While most are set courses, you can decide between a handful of dishes for your main entree.
