Time Out says

The Alley is designed to look like a shanty-town street, complete with knickers strung between building façades and jagged fences separating the booths. At the end of the bar is a piano surrounded by bar stools, each with a mic. Anyone is free to take a seat and join the singalong that takes place every Thursday through Saturday night. Don't worry if you're not sure of the words: neither is the pianist. Business cards stapled to the walls flap like leaves in the breeze of passing patrons.
