As neighborhood market forces conspired to boot many longstanding businesses from the Mission, a lot of San Franciscans took the loss of the Lexington Club personally. This week, the establishment known as “Your friendly neighborhood dyke bar” is being honored with a commemorative plaque, presented by the GLBT Historical Society, Supervisor David Campos and owner Lila Thirkield. After the short ceremony, join up with the rest of the old regulars for an afterparty at The Phoenix Bar.
