Time Out says

In conjunction with the Contemporary Jewish Museum’s wildly popular exhibit about the auteur, the San Francisco Symphony will be performing live along with a screening of Stanley Kubrick’s masterful 2001: A Space Odyssey. Arrive early for a pre-show discussion about Kubrick’s use of music in the film, and aim to catch Thursday’s show to see special guest Keir Dullea discuss portraying doomed astronaut David Bowman.
