WET DREAMS DRY MAGIC

Wet Dreams Dry Magic (WDDM) is the obsession of San Francisco-based songwriter Luke Sweeney, mostly an occupation that mines the sounds of the subconscious states of mind. The original recordings under the moniker, compiled from dusty 4-track cassette musings taped inside his Sunset District bedroom, surfaced in 2007 as a self-titled EP consisting of mostly instrumental vignettes and nebulous, phase-shifting sonic ideas. Sweeney formed a live group around the name soon after and championed it around the Bay Area at spots such as Brick & Mortar, Make Out Room, and Great American Music Hall. With an ever-burning desire to explore the inner science of unanswered questioning and churn the findings into a collective nod, sometimes this music is descibed as simply as “alittle bluesy, a little lo-fi poppy, and just about right” (The Bay Bridged, 2012). A new EP from the same bin of outtakes is currently under construction as Sweeney contemplates what it all means.

AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH MICHAEL SHAW (RECORD RELEASE)

Michael Shaw wants to spend some time with you. In fact, he’s set the date and picked out a lovely spot.
An Intimate Evening With Michael Shaw’s debut album, This Is It, set for a June 2015 release, is a lush sonic pasture set amongst rolling hills of electric piano lit by soaring guitar and bright, layered vocals.

WE ARE THE WEST

We Are The West is a convergence of sound and space both welcoming and honest. The Los Angeles-based duo records in storm drains and shipping containers, performs on sheep farms and in abandoned convents, and hosts a concert series in the underground parking garage of an office building the Saturday before each full moon.
