Traveling back and forth in time, crisscrossing between India and the United States, DON’T LET HIM KNOW is Sandip Roy’s expansive debut novel. The story follows Romola, her husband Avinash, and their son Amit, immigrants twice over, from childhood to adulthood to old age—through their struggles to bridge the chasms of geography, generation, and culture.
Sandip Roy currently lives in Calcutta but for years was a radio host on KALW in San Francisco and is a frequent commentator for Morning Edition on NPR.
