Washed Out

Washed Out is Ernest Greene, a young guy from Georgia (via South Carolina) who makes bedroom synthpop that sounds blurred and woozily evocative, like someone smeared Vaseline all over an early OMD demo tape, then stayed up all night trying to recreate what they heard.

Buku

From the first glimpses of Robert Balotsky's work as Buku, it was clear that the Pittsburgh native and graduate of Music Technology was onto something. With an effortless grasp on sound design and music theory, the young producer combines deceptively simple and emotive melodies, laden with resounding bass drops and intricate drum patterns. With a love of drums rooting from childhood, his work reflects the obsession – emitting percussive elements only a trained ear could produce.

Behind a kit since age 8, he followed the progression of handling percussion duties for multiple bands throughout his adolescence. Once introduced to digital production, Buku took his techniques to stranger dimensions – and he's been pushing the boundaries ever since.

His early work has placed him at the forefront of a new wave of rising talent amongst East Coast producers. Garnering interest and plays from Starkey, Lunice, Paper Diamond, Shiftee, Clicks & Whistles, Kastle (to name a few), the up-and-comer has been paving a promising road over the last year.

With his debut release, 'Slippy' under the Slit Jockey imprint and a remix of Starkey's 'Command' on Civil Music, Buku is poised to make much larger waves in the coming months: haters beware.

Willy Joy

Don't try to classify Chicago partymaster Willy Joy as anything but that - a party. Known for his heavy bass productions but steeped in the traditions of rap, house and juke, his DJ sets and original productions have been packing sweaty dancefloors across the country from major festivals like Lollapalooza to sweaty illegal warehouse raves and Mad Decent block parties. His songs have been remixed by today's top producers such as Dillon Francis & Flosstradamus while tearing up clubs across the country. Willy's tunes get played by the likes of Diplo, Adventure Club, Crookers & BBC Radio 1. Willy represents the eclectic new sound of dance music coming out of the producers of the Windy City, rapidly changing styles and tempos with ease while always maintaining a frenzied, hands-in-the-air dancefloor.

Recently, Fool's Gold Records released his trap anthem "GEEKS" to widespread acclaim. Willy also co-produced "Mash Up The Dance" with Major Lazer for their new album "Free The Universe", as well as collaborating with Brillz for the standout track "WTF" on his TWONK EP. His "Free Willy Wednesday" campaign had the internet going nuts with an avalanche of free music downloads, and he is currently prepping a slew of new remixes as well as a new EP for release later this year. In the past Willy has worked with labels such as Mad Decent, Trouble & Bass and Top Billin.

With constant touring throughout North America and beyond, Willy is set to blow up fast. Come see him live and you'll instantly know why. Willy is known for blending disparate sounds into a single, ecstatic, live moment.
