Time Out says

It takes a village: Children have the best chance of growing into healthy adults if the whole community contributes to their upbringing.

In this hands-on workshop, Dr. Briscoe-Smith brings current research and video case studies to help teachers navigate how children develop an understanding of race, and how our implicit and explicit communication in the classroom impacts their perceptions of race. We will begin a conversation on implicit bias and how it operates, and how bias impacts student outcomes. Educators will receive a framework for thinking about how they’d like to talk about race with their students, setting personal as well as classroom goals. A non-refundable $5 fee saves your spot for what will surely be a learning and sharing experience for all. Spaces are limited. RSVP to: schools@moadsf.org
